FBI Agents CJ Johnston and Paige Riley are dispatched to find the link between the two homicides.
The team, including Ice and Billy, find the case to be anything but cold. For CJ and Paige, juggling the investigation while trying to keep their love affair a secret proves to be as hard as uncovering long-buried clues.
Eight-time Goldie winner Gerri Hill delivers thrills and passion in the chilling sequel to Keepers of the Cave.

This wasn't as good as Keepers of the Cave. CJ and Paige definitely sizzle as a couple and I looked forward to all their alone time. But the detective/paranormal plot took way too much focus and lagged quite a bit with all the boring interviews. There was so much potential with a couple given this much chemistry, and every sex scene was really hot... but I just wasn't into the whole Ghostbusters meets Scooby Doo plot.
In this sequel we find the beautiful and girlie Paige and her sexy soft butch CJ moving into a more serious level in their relationship. Gone are CJ's all-nighters at the bar with faceless women and too much tequila. Nothing repressed about how Paige feels about her woman. Her assertiveness and love for CJ was totally hot. These two practically live together in this one. At work, these FBI agents, along with their partners, Ice and Billy, are dealing with the outcome of having so many people die in the last book's fiasco. Their boss has been demoted and they are given a 14 year old cold case combined with an active one that no one expects them to solve. Basically, it's a crappy assignment. This includes lots of visits to a trailer park and one haunted house with a seriously angry ghost.
Off they go to investigate, dragging us through interview after interview in a kind of real-time mode. About halfway through I was skimming a lot of that stuff. Ack. Way too repetitive. It opened pretty promising and the sexual interludes were awesome but they kind of disappeared or did the fade to black thing about halfway through. Had they continued in more detail to the end I'd of gotten through the trite paranormal stuff without complaint. Though I will say that Gerri Hill really is getting bold in the bedroom and experimenting with new positions, lol.
