Many of us have no idea why this happens. Reclaim Your Heart is about freeing the heart from this slavery. It is about the journey in an out of life's most deceptive traps.
This book was written to awaken the heart and provide a new perspective on love, loss, happiness, and pain. Providing a manual of sorts, Reclaim Your Heart will teach readers how to live in this life without allowing life to own you. It is a manual of how to protect your most prized possession: the heart.
Reclaim Your Heart is not just a self-help book. It is a manual about the journey of the heart in and out of the ocean of this life. It is a book about how to keep your heart from sinking to the depths of that ocean, and what to do when it does. It is a book about redemption, about hope, about renewal. Every heart can heal, and each moment is created to bring us closer to that transformative return. Reclaim Your Heart is about finding that moment when everything stops and suddenly looks different. It is about finding your own awakening. And then returning to the better, truer, and freer version of yourself. Books with free ebook downloads available Download Reclaim Your Heart

First and foremost, I thank Allah swt for guiding me towards Yasmin Mogahed's articles and audio lectures. Alhamdulillah rabb Al-Alamin. During the previous year, i've been facing so many changes in my life, which would have destroyed me internally had I not been guided to her work. Although I do worship Allah swt and remember him daily, and am grateful for His countless bounties that he bestows upon us, I have found myself struggling to feel peaceful within myself, and I always ask myself: "why am I constantly impatient and anxious internally, despite the fact that I'm praying and remembering Allah swt??" Then, Allah swt gave me the answer, by guiding me to Yasmin's work: it's because I fail to fully understand the True meaning of what I say in my prayers (e.g. the meaning of {Iyyaka Na'budu wa Iyyaka nasta'een}), and the True meaning of many of the Dua's and Athkar's that I say. So I gradually began to learn about at-Tawakkul (reliance on Allah swt), Ar-Rida (contentment), As-Sabr (patience), tazkiyat an-nafs (purification of the heart) and so many more concepts. Every day I would read an article or listen to a lecture, and it's as if I have a personal guide who is helping me on a daily basis, masha' Allah. Allah swt has blessed Yasmin with a gift: explaining many concepts in the Quran and Sunnah in a way that helps us apply these concepts in everyday life, and also helps us make sense of why hardships occur to us, and how to deal with the hardship in a way that makes the hardship a productive experience that could lead us to Jannah, rather than just something to complain about constantly. As for the book, it contains all her work organised systematically.
