The guide covers the usual LP territory: larger city maps, places to stay. As such it serves its purpose. The choice of suggested restaurants is questionable - the guide suggests quite a number of chinese and thai places, rather than local fare. Also, if you're looking beyond a place to stay, and want to learn more about the areas you are going to stay, you'll be disappointed - most places are covered by a few standard paragraphs. Would really suggest the official "myswitzerland" website - it's way much better for planning

While this book would be great for some one who is looking for an overview of Switzerland, I was looking for something more in depth. I was looking more for more in depth descriptions. Because I will be spending a month there, I was hoping for more ideas attractions that are not the norm for the casual traveler. However, this book would do well for the first time visitor or one who is not going to be there for a long time and wants to hit the highlights and must sees.
